" Scary Castle "

On Ascension Day we were at the castle of Neuschwanstein, to complete a project. 

We met at midnight and started with the set up of the line. We were a bit stressed at the beginning because we did not know if someone would come and forbide this action like last time, but we were done with rigging at 3 a.m. We had to rig the line at night due to good weather forecast for this few hours.

After a few tries Anatolij walked the 40m long highline (full-man).

Unfortunately, the castle Neuschwanstein is not visible in the pictures, because the fog was too dense. Therefore we will come back again to get better images.

English Garden

During the week , Anatolij and Andi were in the "English Garden" and rigged up a 60 metre longline over the fields and a 20 meter line above the Eisbach. First, we had to rig the long one and could also walk it in front of astonished spectators. Finally, we tried a few tricks, and Anatolij was very successful with a few buttbounces.

Then we went to the next spot called Eisbach where a 20 meter line was waiting to be walked. We had to hurry up with walking, due to the last time...the police came as we already once wanted to walk above the Eisbach and they have forbidden us to do things like that again. After a few minutes, suddenly the police came over but they haven´t done anything.  They only watched how we walked above the Eisbach. So we were both successful and we´re looking forward to come back to the English Garden again.

For your eyes only

Since we’re already in Greece for 5 days, it was time for the first highline in Meteora. At the time we’re bolding new lines and therefore we decided to repeat “For your eyes only” (film location for same-named James Bond movie). The line has 42 m in length and is on a height of 200 m. At first it wasn’t windy at all, which made walking the line awesome. Little after, the wind was so strong, that we had to fight hardly to actually stand on the line. But still we mastered the line “full man” and now have the perfect feeling for the following days.

Surfing

Because we ‘re going to fly to Meteora/Greece in a week, we had to have another highline session. Shortly, we decided to bold a new line at the “ Ettaler Manndl”. Although the quality of one rock face was bad, we successfully could put in the bolds. Subsequently we started walking. We tried out some new tricks and reached our maximum at surfing. Now we’re ready for Meteora!!!

Ammer

This time a 70m – long line over a river was waiting for us. We tightened it high enough, so that we could walk with a leash. The tightening worked without any problems and therefore we had a lot of time to gain experience on such a “little, long highline”. At the beginning we had some problems, since it was hard for us to walk well on a highline of that length. After some unsuccessful tries the feeling was there and got all the way over the middle. However we couldn’t master the line without a single downfall. Regardless it was a great challenge, we’re going to do again soon.
